Stone lanterns, commemorative stones, exotic plants and the curved stone bridge remind us of Dr. Erwin Bälz, who was born in Bietigheim (1849 – 1913). He made a name for himself as the founder of modern medicine in Japan and became known primarily as the personal physician of the Japanese imperial family and finally as a professor at the Imperial University of Tokyo. It takes three minutes by foot to reach the ornamental garden, which is an ideal place for a leisurely walk.
The Kronenzentrum event venue offers the largest event hall in Bietigheim-Bissingen, where everything from concerts and theatre performances to dance events is on offer. A changing range of events and the impressive lobby overlooking the Enzauen Park make the Kronenzentrum event venue so popular. The event rooms in the Kronenzentrum event venue are accessible for disabled people. A toilet is available for disabled visitors.

The museum of urban and cultural history shows the historical background of the town of Bietigheim-Bissingen and inspires with its detailed exhibition. Due to its elaborate half-timbered architecture and the almost completely preserved interior painting, it is one of the most important Renaissance houses in southern Germany. The Stadtmuseum Hornmoldhaus municipal museum supports the culture of remembrance with its own projects and diverse collaborations, sets an example against the past being forgotten and provides inspiration for shaping the future.

Free entry, partially accessible for disabled people

Located in the old town of Bietigheim, the municipal gallery combines historical building structures with modern architecture. The gallery offers changing exhibitions of modern and contemporary art as well as its own collection of mostly relief printed graphic works and regional art.

Accessible for disabled people

Tripsdrill Theme Park is located about 15 minutes from the hotel and offers over 100 original attractions for the young and old. The first theme park in Germany also includes a wildlife paradise with around 50 animal species, which is why the park is one of the most popular excursion destinations in Baden-Württemberg.
The Baroque city of Ludwigsburg is highly recommended as an excursion tip. Through the Baroque palaces and the "Blooming Baroque" garden show, you can experience a small fairytale world here. Throughout the year, wonderful events and cultural highlights such as concerts, palace pageants and festivals take place here. From the hotel, you can reach Ludwigsburg in about 10 minutes by car.
Besigheim, the town where the River Neckar and River Enz flow together, is particularly famous for its wine and was voted the most beautiful wine town in Germany by viewers of MDR Television in 2010. Surrounded by vineyards, the listed town centre is particularly impressive with stunning half-timbered houses, in particular the half-timbered town hall. An idyllic excursion destination for the young and old.
Shopping is part of your holiday. In the immediate vicinity you will find outlets with world-famous brands such as the TRACTA fashion outlet, Otten, Breuninger, Schiesser and some others in Ingersheim. The Sioux shoe outlet is located directly in Bietigheim.
You can experience the history of mobility up close in the two museums. From the invention of the car by Carl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler to the present day. Visitors can look forward to seeing numerous exhibition models and in the Porsche Museum, they can even experience live how old items are restored.
Travel on a journey in time through the history of technology. A globally unique variety of technology is on show in several halls and a large outdoor area. From aircraft and experimental vehicles to racing cars and steam locomotives and much more. You can also enter many of the exhibits yourself.
